2008 Saturn Astra XE Water Pump Replacement - Finally done!

A while back, I posted to my blog (is.gd/f2psek) that I needed to change the water pump in my 2008 Astra. I was thwarted at the time, but I finally got it finished. Check it out in this video.

We drained the coolant from the valve at the bottom of the radiator before changing the water pump making the process very clean.

We changed the springs, shocks, struts, strut mounts, and drop links at about 75k miles; car rides like new. Tie rod ends are fast wear parts so worth doing while the suspension is apart. Need to align front-end afterwards. Shocked how nicely the car rides and handles now.

Oh if your control arms are shot, add them to the list. We don't see many people just replacing the bushings. Our control arms were fine but our mechanic buddy said he would have replaced them while everything was apart.
